SMS & Text Messaging Policy

This policy explains how Pergoloan collects consent for text messages and how we use SMS to communicate with customers.

1. Program description

Pergoloan ("we," "us," or "our") may send text messages (SMS/MMS) to mobile numbers you provide when you contact us, create an account, submit a financing application, or otherwise request information about our pergola design, installation, and financing services.

Messages may include:

  • One-time passcodes for account sign-in and two-factor authentication
  • Account security and verification alerts
  • Responses to your website contact form or inquiry
  • Application status and document requests
  • Appointment scheduling and project updates
  • Account notifications related to your Pergoloan application
  • Customer support follow-up

2. How you opt in (consent)

We only send marketing or recurring operational texts after you provide express consent. You may opt in through any of the following methods:

  • Website contact form: When you submit the contact form at pergoloan.com/contact, you must check an unchecked consent box authorizing text messages before submission. The disclosure appears directly above the submit button.
  • Account sign-in: When you sign in at pergoloan.com/auth/sign-in, you must check unchecked consent boxes authorizing security and verification text messages (including one-time passcodes for two-factor authentication) and accepting our terms before continuing.
  • Account registration: When you create a Pergoloan account and provide a mobile phone number, you must check an unchecked consent box before completing registration.
  • Inbound text to our number: If you initiate a conversation by texting our business line, you consent to receive reply messages related to your inquiry.
  • Existing customers: If you are an active applicant or customer, we may send transactional messages about your project without additional marketing consent.

Consent is not required as a condition of purchase, financing approval, or receiving our services. You may use our website and apply without agreeing to marketing texts.

3. Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies depending on your interaction with Pergoloan and the status of your application or project. You may receive several messages during an active application period and fewer messages afterward.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. How to opt out and get help

You can cancel SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message from Pergoloan. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation and you will no longer receive texts unless you opt in again.

5. Privacy and data use

We handle mobile numbers and message content in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your phone number. We may use service providers (including Twilio) to deliver messages on our behalf.

When you opt in through our website form, we record that consent was provided, including the date and time of submission, for compliance and audit purposes.

6. Supported carriers

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include major U.S. carriers; availability may vary.

7. Changes

We may update this SMS Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
